I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I was raised in Raleigh, North Carolina, and while attending my undergraduate at UNC Wilmington, I learned I wanted to dedicate my career to mental healthcare. Since then, I have enjoyed 25 years of psychiatric nursing experience providing compassionate care to individuals in North Carolina. While I provide mental health services to everyone in North Carolina, I live in Raleigh and enjoy spending time with friends, family and my three dogs.
I have a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Nursing and a Post-master’s specialty as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Washburn University. My background includes working in the inpatient psychiatric setting, where I participated in and led research to improve outcomes which are published in numerous peer-reviewed journals. I consult nationally, and I am a member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association.
